Research indicates that the Alexander Technique may help people living with Parkinson’s improve mood, steadiness, uprightness, coordination, and mobility, both in daily functioning and across activities. Research has also shown that the Alexander Technique may help PD care partners reduce stress and strain through personalized, restorative self-care practices. Through gentle guidance and hands-on instruction, participants will explore how the Alexander Technique can support improved breathing, posture, neuroplasticity, and overall motor control.
Each participant will receive approximately 10-15 minutes of one-on-one hands-on instruction in the format of either table (lying down) work or chair (seated/standing) work. An informational video and written materials will be made available.
This intimate event is limited to 4–6 participants to allow for individualized attention. Advanced registration is required, and space is limited.
