Registered Dietitian and culinary educator Zari Ginsburg will lead a St. Patrick's Day-themed session featuring quick and energizing snacks. Zari will demonstrate how to prepare sweet and savory treats full of antioxidants to keep you nourished and satisfied. Hint, you'll love the vibrant green dip whether it's St. Patty's Day or not!
Join us for a meditative chair yoga session intended to support energy flow, body awareness, and overall well-being. Boshko Boskovic is a certified Reiki and sound healing practitioner based in NYC who specializes in older adult wellness. No previous yoga experience is necessary to participate.
After being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, NYU Economics Professor Bill Easterly wrote a book about how recipients of Western aid asserted their right to self-determination. Along the way, Bill learned from them important lessons about his own need for dignity with Parkinson's. William Easterly is a retired professor and former advisor at the World Bank. He has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times. His fourth book, Violent Saviors: the West's Conquest of the Rest, was published in November 2025.
Ready to lift your voice, lower your stress, and lighten your mood? Come along to our Singing Circle! Led by organist and choral conductor J. David Williams, participants will warm up with simple movements and breathwork before singing familiar songs accompanied by live piano—all in the name of good fun with new friends! No experience necessary.
Join a support group for men & women living with PD facilitated by Heidi Mandel, PhD, DPM, LMSW, a retired clinical educator and social worker. Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at The Bandeen Center, this is an in-person, open-ended support group for people at all stages of their PD journey, offering guided discussion and connectivity in a safe and supportive environment.
Join us for an insightful talk with Zari Ginsburg, MS, who will provide an overview of emerging research on how nutrition can be used to manage symptoms of PD. Zari is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Culinary Educator with deep experience in medical nutrition therapy to help manage chronic health conditions such as Parkinson’s.
