Get ready to get loud at The Bandeen Center! We are delighted to announce our partnership with Speak Out!® Therapy Program, founded by Parkinson Voice Project®, a research-based, nationally-recognized program that helps people with Parkinson’s improve their speech and swallowing. The program focuses on volume, articulation, breath support, vocal quality, intonation, and facial movement — empowering participants through education and daily practice to build confident, lifelong vocal expression.
Starting on May 11, these one-hour sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays under the direction of Speech Pathologist Antonia Andrades Schroeder, a clinical educator at Hunter College New York, along with her students. Classes have a rolling enrollment, so members can join at any time.
A 30-minute individual assessment is required prior to taking a Speak Out!® Therapy Program class, which can be scheduled directly with Antonia (aschroe@hunter.cuny.edu or 212-481-4464). We can’t wait to help our community retain and reclaim their voice!
